Community life

When you become an activist with the CALACS, you are in a unique position to play an active role and help bring about social change. When a woman makes this choice, she 1) participates in the democratic process (Democracy doesn’t mean simply voting once every 4 years, but being an active part in real-world change); 2) empowers herself with concrete action; and 3) uses her own potential for self-realization and helps respond to real needs, needs such as : the need for freedom, for exchange, for affirmation, action, and to share in a sense of solidarity with other women in a common goal, to fight against all forms of sexual violence.
