Prevention and education

CALACS des Rivières works to bring prevention and education to the population at large to help eliminate sexual violence.

Prevention for youth

The organization offers different programs for prevention in high schools in Haute-Yamaska and Brome-Missisquoi.

  3. Disclosure and support (Secondary 3)
  4. Empowering young people to fight sexual assault (Secondary 3)

  6. Sexual exploitation (Secondary 4)

J’AVISE : Youth in action against sexual violence

The program J’AVISE is made up of a single 60–75-minute workshop. It provides candid information about the issue of sexual assault, equality in relationships and clues to detect unhealthy situations.

Cyberquoi?!

This program aims to inform young people about issues surrounding online sexual abuse in a social context. Its goal: to teach participants how to recognize the different forms of cyber-sexual violence (CSV), where to find available resources, but also to reflect on social causes of such behaviour. Cyberquoi?! consists of a single 75-minute presentation to high school students.

#gardeçapourtoi.

#gardeçapourtoi is a campaign in conjunction with the Granby police, to educate young people about the dangers of sexting. This program is available to students in secondary 1 in the Haute-Yamaska region.

Education
